Vilano Beach and "North Beach"...
You are looking at the St. Augustine Inlet here. It connects the Atlantic to the Intracoastal Waterway and downtown St. Augustine. This is also Vilano and the North Beaches. This area offers a huge variety of things to do, such as parasailing, vacation rentals, lodging, and has one of the nicest State Parks - Guana/ State Park.
Vilano may not be as populous as the St. Augustine Beach, but there are still many opportunities to have fun here. The sand on the Vilano Beach is different from St. Augustine Beaches - it's a coquina sand mixture which truly shows the essence of St. Augustine. There is free parking off the beach so there's no need to pay to get on the beach. You're only a short walk away from enjoying the "Serene" beach known as The Vilano Beach. The area is undergoing a metamorphosis that is nearly complete; it is anchored by a beautiful new Publix Grocery Store and the Boardwalk between the Beach Pavillion and the Fishing Pier Pavillion gives the area a welcoming approach.
